WORD: Legion TV Show

hitlist

FX announced yesterday that they ordered a Pilot episode for a comic book project they were working on; Legion, and announced they were also developing a project related to the Helfire Club. This is great news for speculators as Legion is a characters whose first appearance regularly appears in dollar and three dollar bins – under $10 bins in high grade. Legion (David Haller) is the son of Charles Xavier – first appearing briefly in New Mutants #25 with a full origin in New Mutants #26. New Mutants #26 is the book to be looking for however New Mutants #25 is also a winner.

Both of these books regularly sold for under $4 on ebay but since yesterday have been peaking up to $30 (for Near Mint New Mutants #25). These two books are ones to look for.

There is also word out that the Hellfire Club is being developed by the same studio has a projected television series. It is unclear what incarnation will be used but X-Men #129 is a sure beat at this point.

Another book to be looking for at your local comic book stores that came out this week is Black Mask’s Clandestino #1 – already selling for double cover in the $8 to $10 range – this  could be another big Black Mask title and not one to sleep on.

  • Very good post’s this week… as always! I was able to find a copy of The Boys” #1 for $10. Low risk, so why not! As far as New Mutants #25 +26? I started buying those and other New Mutants first appearances when the movie was first announced. They have been pretty cheap for a while now. Not the case anymore. I hope others who visit this site were able to pick up one or two before the prices jumped. $25 + will probably be the norm for higher grades as the show gets closer. As for the Hellfire club, isn’t X-men #122 the first appearance? Do you think it would be wise to pick up a high grade copy since they aren’t bank breaking, price wise? ….yet.
