Earlier this week we started to get a PR blitz from Dark Horse Comics promoting their new comic book series Bang!. Bang! is a new series written by Matt Kindt and featuring artwork by Wilfred Torres. This book is being pushed as a mind-bending story that ties in with Matt Kindt’s past works – mainly his 2010 Graphic Novel Revolver. Right now this comic is a listed as a five part mini-series.

Dark Horse has gone as far as getting quotes for this book from top comic book creators including Jeff Lemire, Mark Millar and Brian Michael Bendis. Yesterday Dark Horse was able to get actor Keanu Reeves to add a quote calling Bang! #1 “A great f-cked up blend of James Bond and Tintin.”

Bang! #1 is released on February 19, 2020 but this week retailers are getting two copies each of a preview ashcan and this ashcan would be considered the first appearance of this series and characters. This is a book that you will want to be asking your local retailer about.
