Typically I post most of the media related comic announcements on the Comic Book Scalping Instagram account CBS_Daily but there are two books that have been selling well today that I would like to highlight here.

Pictures from the set of Avengers 4 have leaked online and they show Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts – dressed up as Rescue. This has caused a sudden surge on the first appearance of Rescue with the book selling for $20 to $30.

Rescue’s first appears in Marvel’s 2009 title, Invincible Iron Man #10 written by Matt Fraction. This book was published with two covers – one of Tony Stark and a “secret” Tony Stark in armor cover. There is also a second print variant that features a new cover that features the first cover appearance of Rescue. All three of these books are worth looking for.

There has also been a run to grab copies of Niobe She is Life #1 based on rumors of a movie announcement that hasn’t been publicly made. It is also worth noting that Niobe She is life has been brought up a few times on Amandla Stenberg’s (Co-Writer and Actor from Games of Thrones) publicity tour for her upcoming film, the Hate U Give. While near mint copies of Niobe #1 are selling for $10 to $20 – CGC 9.8 copies are selling for $130.
The characters in this book first appear in another Stranger Comics title, The Untamed #1. This book has a 1:10 variant that has also been selling well online.
