I havn’t written a post in a month… Feels good. Eventually I play to do a write up about some books I missed in the last few months.

With DC’s new Doomsday Clock title they have been doing some interesting things bringing back Alan Moore’s DC created characters. Part of this included Moore’s characters with America’s Best Comics. America’s Best Comics was a comic book imprint of Image / Wildstorm that was purchased by DC when they purchased Wildstorm Comics in 1999 from Jim Lee. In October of 2017 DC released promotional images featuring Tom Strong a character created by Moore in the America’s Best Comics Universe.

This week DC released digital previews of a few upcoming comic books on retailer only website Diamond to entice retailers to increase their orders. One of these previews, Justice League #23, revealed the induction of Alan Moore’s character Sophie Bangs / Promethea in to the DC universe.

The first full appearance of Promethea is Promethea #1. This book currently sells for under $10 in near mint condition. The possibilities of what DC can do with this character are endless, this is a book to be putting on your radar.

One thing to note is that Promethea’s first appears on the cover of America’s Best Comics #1 – a Wizard Magazine promotional preview comic. This book came with Wizard Magazine #91. This promotional comic is a one off story introducing the America’s Best Comics universe.  The book includes one non speaking panel appearance from Prometha. This book also includes the introducing of post of the characters in the America’s Best Comics universe, including Tom Strong. This is another book to be looking for.
