This was first mentioned by Bleedingcool last week but has since been confirmed by newsarama and Marvel. Sometimes Bleedingcool is right about stuff.

This week Marvel has announced that Gwen-Pool – Gwen Stacy Deadpool, would be appearing in the upcoming Howard the Duck story arch as a backstory.

This news has resulted in the first appearance of the character – a variant cover, Deadpool’s Secret Wars #2 – to jump up in price, selling between $15 to $25 and on the rise.

This is a book to be looking for and not a book to be holding on to.
