Weird Catchup: Marvel Battleworld
Marvels current event brings all of the previous historical story lines together only to evolve into an all new universe. This has brought some older first appearances to the forefront resulting in growing interest in the following two universes.
Weird World – Weird World #1 (2015) written by Jason Aaron comes out this week, Weird World is described as “the wildest, most dangerous new corner of the Marvel Universe.” The Weird World Universe first appears in Marvel Premiere #38 (1977), This book has virtually disappeared from online marketplaces. This book hasn’t started heating up yet but the potential is there.
Future Imperfect – The Hulk: Future Imperfect #1 and #2 set from 1992 has been selling on average for $20 as a set with #1 floating around $10 to $15. These are regularly found for under $5. The new Future Imperfect storyline came out last week largley focused on Maestro which has suggested that this character, the Hulk “overload” in the future will be involved in the new Marvel Relaunch. Maestro and the Future imperfect storyline both first appear in Future Imperfect #1 another book you should be looking for and picking up.
