Week in Review: August 19, 2020
.
Hello and welcome to the week in review on Comicbookspeculation.com – home of the original week in review – where we go over all of the hot books being released to comic book stores. Here are the books that I think are noteworthy that come out this week.
.
This week is all about one book – Marvel’s Thor #6. The power of Donny Cates continues! This book is already sold out at the distribution level and has been selling for a few dollars above its cover price. This book has a few covers including a “spoiler art” cover and a one in fifty Garbiel Dell’Otto Variant. The Dell’Otto book is the clear winner with multiple sales around $150.

That is your week in review! Let me know in the comments (or on social media) what you think!

2 THINGS:
Batman #97 – looks like Clownhunter is supposed to featured prominently.
Also – I heard that the upcoming Punchline OneShot has multiple 1,000-order store exclusive covers?

Great stuff to read and collect. Glad these books bring collectors into their local comic shops to help their local businesses. The thing that I have problems wrapping my head around are the prices people are paying for books that have just been released. Crazy money being spent! I look at some very cool silver and bronze age books that are considered to be key issues that can be purchased for a fraction of the cost of these new books. I guess all good if we are collecting and reading comics!
