Hello and welcome to the week in review on Comicbookspeculation.com – home of the original week in review – where we go over all of the hot books being released to comic book stores. Here are the books that I think are noteworthy that come out this week.

This week the one book I think you should be buying is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Urban Legends #25. Along with the two regular covers this book has a 1:10 variant cover. The Lady Shredder storyline started in TMNT Urban Legends #24 – the identity of lady Shredder hasn’t been revealed in the comics since she was introduced 20 years ago – it has been confirmed by IDW that her identity will be revealed in this three issue story arch starting with issue 24. Issue 25 is the book that is believed to have the actual reveal resulting in it selling out on multiple online comic book stores. This book and the 1:10 variant are books I believe will have see great growth in the next few weeks.

Another book to be looking for this week is the cover B for Skottie Young’s Middlewest #18 from Image Comics. This is the last issue of the series. This book features a virgin art cover by Skottie Young and has multiple sales online ranging from $15 to $20.

One other book that is selling very well online is No Heroine #1. This book is the second series by writer Frank Gogol whose previous Source Point Press comic book, Dead End Kids, became a speculator favorite. This new release has multiple store variants and a 1:5 Ben Templesmith variant cover. The regular cover has been selling online for $10 to $20. You can still purchase the Hiphopf Comics Variant (owner of this website) on ebay for $19.99!

There are multiple variant covers coming out this week that have been heating up online – the first one I would like to highlight is the Boom Studios thank you variant for Power Rangers Ranger Slayer #1. This book features Rita Repulsa and based on its rarity and low print run I would wager this book will be in demand for some time to come.

While Boom is also sending retailers a thank you variant for Wynd #2, Wynd #2 has a 1:25 variant cover by Peach Momoko that is getting a lot of attention online. While there is a trade dress store variant cover of this book – the virgin cover art variant has numerous sales averaging $50.

The last thing I want to talk about this week in regards to new releases is Marvel Second Printings! This week sees two extra printings of sold out comic books that are selling very well online. The first is the third print of Thor #2. This book features the first appearance of Black Winter and has been selling for $8 to $10. The second printing of Strange Academy #1 is also released this week and it has been selling for an astonishing $17 to $20!
