I didn’t write a week in review this week but I do think there is one book that we all should be thinking about – Venom #26. This book features the first full appearance of the Virus character – who has a very minor appearance in Venom #25.

While Venom #25 has been selling for $10+ this weeks release of Venom #26 has also been selling well. While it was selling for $10 to $15 online on Wednesday it has since cooled down selling for about $8 – more than double its $3.99 cover price. We first spoke about the Virus character and Venom #26 in March. Venom #26 has a rather large print run but it also has several ratio variant covers that should do well as the Virus character makes more appearances.

This week also saw the release of the second print of Venom #25 – a book that features Virus on the cover and has been selling for $20 to $25. This printing quickly sold out at the distribution level.

What do you think about this new character? Is this going to be another flash in the pan character or in this new age of speculation with almost every first appearance in Marvel or DC jumping up in value within days of release – are these books good long term holds?
