Week in Review: July 8, 2020

.
Hello and welcome to the week in review on Comicbookspeculation.com – home of the original week in review – where we go over all of the hot books being released to comic book stores. Here are the books that I think are noteworthy that come out this week.
.
Like previous weeks this week has some very big ratio variant covers being released. The first one I want to spotlight is the one in twenty-five ratio variant cover for Something is Killing the Children #8 from Boom Studios. This book has multiple sales ranging from $80 to $100.

Another odd-ball ratio variant cover that is selling very well on the secondary market is the one in ten ratio variant for Sonic the Hedgehog’s 2020 Annual. Very rarely do comic book stores order multiple copies of these kind of comic books – and this is a ratio variant for a $7.99 cover priced book. The variant has multiple sold listings online averaging $40 to $50.

The last ratio variant cover of note this week is the Batman #94 one in twenty-five variant. This variant features the design images of the Underbroker character who first appeared in Batman #92. This book has multiple sales around $40. This book is stated to be one of the kick off books for the Joker War event.

One last book I want to highlight is the Oblivion Song #25 J. Scott Campbell cover. While this is a open-order cover and this issue has multiple covers – I think this is the best cover of the entire series so far.
