Welcome to the special Canada Day Edition of the Week in Review. In honor on Canada Day I wanted to spotlight the Captain Canuck #1 Thor #337 homage cover. Here is my personal copy signed by Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee of the Canadian Rock band RUSH.

Without further ado, Here is your week in review! This week there is really only one book that has interesting sales.

.
Last week Aftershock Comics sent retailers a free comic book titled “S.O.S”. This was a retailer support comic that was sent for free to retailers for them to sell at any price they found fit. A similar situation is happening this week with Skybound Comics. This week Skybound is sending out a retailer appreciation book called “Negan Lives”. While this book has a $4.99 cover price, this is a one-shot Walking Dead comic book that is being sent to retailers completely free. While retailers will be getting quantities of this book based on their previous orders with Skybound, retailers are being sent three special edition foil variants. Two silver foil variant covers and a special gold foil variant cover are being sent to retailers and both of these books are selling very well on the secondary market.

The Gold foil variant is selling for $300 to $400 while the silver foil cover is selling on average for $100. Skybound is also launching their Firepower book this week, also written by Robert Kirkman.
.

Earlier today Robert Kirkman posted a video on twitter showing off the Negan Lives books. At the end of this video he shows a special edition red foil variant that he says “does not exist.” When I reached out to my Skybound contact for a comment I was told “I don’t know what you’re talking aboot.” This is a book to be keeping your eye out for.

They put the red variant up on one of their blog discussion things, It might have been a fans drawing winners situation. I beleive Minty man set the market on the Negans, think early pre-sales were 15.99 for regulars, and sold a silver & gold set for like $675 auction. Maybe check it out!
