The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers PREVIEW VIDEO

..

Last July it was announced at the 2019 San Diego Comic Con that that classic counter culture comic book series, The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, was being developed as an animated series from the minds behind the Comedy Central Workaholics television series.

Earlier today The Fabulous Furry Freak Brother social media pages released the first glimpse of the series in a four minute short. It was also announced that Woody Harrelson, John Goodman, Pete Davidson and Tiffany Haddish had signed on to voice the main characters in the series. You can watch the full clip below.

There are two key books in the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers universe that always seems to garner attention. The first appearance of the characters was in Feds ‘N’ Heads #1 published in 1968. This book has several printings – all of which sell for a premium. First Prints of this issue are very hard to find in any condition. The second book is the first issue in their own series, The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers #1 – first published in 1971. This is another book that has several printings – all of which are increasingly difficult to distinguish.

One thing I find interesting is that Gosh London has several Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers Hard Cover and Soft Cover books available at very reasonable prices – all of which are signed by Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers creator Gilbert Shelton – a very reclusive comic creator.  Those items can be ordered here and I am in no way affiliated with this store I just think these are cool!
