Daniel Richtman has a pretty good track record when it comes to insider scoops. We have written about a few of them here. Earlier today reports were published citing Richtman as the source stating Disney was moving forward with a new Ghost Rider franchise without Garbriel Luna – suggesting Disney was going back to the original Johnny Blaze character. While there have been long standing rumors that Kevin Feige was trying to bring the Ghost Rider back into the MCU – this is the first time anyone has officially suggested the character would be moving forward without the Roberto Reyes Agents of Shield character and actor. Richtman stated that it was unclear if this was for television or for film.

Johnny Blaze, the original Ghost Rider, first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #5 published in 1972.
