Week in Review: April 28 , 2020
.
Hello my fellow Wednesday warriors. This is the first Week in Review in over a month! We are living in crazy times and I would definitely describe what is going on in comics this week as crazy!
.
DC returns to releasing new comic books this week using their brand new distribution line of Midtown Comics and DCBS. We spoke about these new distribution companies earlier this month and you can read our summary here.
.
.
.
This week sees the release of three hard covers and five individual issues including the mass marketed edition of the Walmart first Batman Giant #4 as well as the second printing of both Nightwing #70 and Batman #89. DC is also releasing the Black Label Daphen Bryne #4 and The Sandman Universe title Dreaming #20.

.
While online operations continue to thrive most comic book stores across North America are still under a government close order so it will be very interesting to see how this plays out over the next few days and weeks. It was also recently announced (and confirmed) by Diamond Comics that all DC orders had been cancelled (per DC’s request) with Diamond giving retailers TWO days to reorder these books before the new Final Order Cut off. To say this has frustrated retailers and the comic community on a whole would be a high understatement.

That is your week in review! Let me know in the comments (or on social media) what you think!
