Hello and welcome to the week in review on Comicbookspeculation.com – home of the original week in review – where we go over all of the hot books being released to comic book stores this week. Here are just some books that come out this week that I think are interesting.

The Punchline madness continues this week with the release of the second printings of both Year of the Villain #3 and Batman #89. Retailers were given a very small window to order these books which has resulted in them selling out before release. These second printings have been preselling online for $10 each!

This week also sees the release of an all new Star Wars book – Star Wars Bounty Hunters #1. This book deals focuses around bounty hunter adventure story and features numerous first appearances including the first appearance of Nakano Lash. This book has a few variant covers but the big winner seems to be the one in fifty variant cover featuring artwork by Dave Johnson. There is also a one in twenty five variant cover that was preselling for above its ratio but has since started to sell for around $20. The Johnson one in fifty ratio variant cover has had multiple sales ranging from $120 to $160.

Another ratio variant that has been selling well online is the one in twenty five ratio variant cover for Thor #4. This book features the first full appearance of the new Black Winter character who first appeared in Thor #2 (A book that has been selling for $8 to $12) and while the regular cover is still selling at its cover price the ratio variant has been preselling for $40 to $50.

One last book I wanted to mention is the new Scout Comics series, North Bend. The first issue of this series is released this week and has been trending online above its $3.99 cover price. This could be an indication that this title is heating up but it also seems par for the course with these Scout Comic titles. I’m not sure this book will have any staying power. North Bend #1 has two regular covers.
