Hollywood Daze: Freak Angels
.
Home of Avatar Press, Bleeding Cool, reported earlier today about the upcoming Freak Angels animated series coming from Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll is an American company that provides a monthly pay service not unlike Netflix but for animated film with a focus on Japanese animation. Today Crunchyroll announced seven new titles as part of their first ever original content project – one of those titles is an animated adaptation of the Freak Angels comic book. You can watch a small preview for all of these originals below.

Freak Angels started as a web comic written by Warren Ellis featuring artwork by Paul Duffield. In 2008 the web comic was collected and printed for the first time by Avatar Press who produced various hard cover and soft cover collections as well as special signed and numbered editions. The series focuses on twelve psychics living in Great Britain after a big catastrophic event.

As of right now none of the copies of this book have been selling well online but since this animated series isn’t in active development and is 100% completed with a pending release date of later this year – the first volume of Freak Angels is a great book to be thinking about picking up.
