Cyclone Will Reportedly Appear In DC’s ‘Black Adam’
A few people have reported on this news today and it looks like the original source is the website Illuminerd.
News came out today that the JSA member Cyclone will be joining the Black Adam film’s Justice Society of America Team roster. Black Adam is set to be released in 2021 and stars Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson. While this news is still in the unconfirmed rumor stage, the first appearance of this character in the DC Universe has been selling.
Cyclone, Maxine Hunkel, is the granddaughter of the original Red Tornado character that first appeared in 1939. Cyclone first appeared in Elseworlds Universe Alex Ross / Mark Waid Kingdom Come story from 1996 but joined the main DC Universe in the first issue of the 2006 Justice Society of America series (Volume 3).
Justice Society of America #1 has one regular cover and one ratio (one in ten) variant cover. Both books are great books to be looking for in the wild. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing these books online, looking for these books at your local comic book stores is the best way to avoid the Cyclone movie rumor mark up.
That’s all for now! What do you think about this JSA character joining the Black Adam film? Let me know in the comments or on social media!
