Week in Review: January 22, 2020
.
Hello and welcome to the week in review on Comicbookspeculation.com – home of the original week in review – where we go over all of the hot books being released to comic book stores this week. Here are just some books that come out this week that I think are interesting.
.
This week sees the release of Batman Beyond #40 – a book that has been rumored and hyped up to be the reveal issue of who the new Batwoman Beyond character first introduced in issue #37 is. This issue also features a fight between this new Batwoman Beyond character and old Batman Beyond villain Blight. This book has sold out at the distribution level and has a few sales above its cover price.

.
Marvel is releasing a few ratio variants that have already garnered some attention online. The first one is the one in fifty variant cover for Atlantis Attacks #1. This book features a cover by Jeehyung Lee and has been selling for $70 to $80.
.
.
Another one in fifty variant cover that comes out this week is for Conan Serpent War #4. Like previous ratio variants for this series – both the one in twenty five and the one in fifty variants of this book feature Moon Knight front and center. The one in fifty cover features artwork by Miguel Mercado and has been selling for $60 to $90.
.
.
One last Marvel variant cover that seems to be selling well in presale online is the one in twenty five variant cover for Web of Venom Good Son #1. You can read a preview for this issue here. The variant cover has been selling for $30 to $40 and has been trending up in recent days.
.
.
Red Sonja Age of Chaos #1 has multiple covers – this is a cross-over series of Red Sonja and the Chaos Comics universe – published by Dynamite Comics. The Cover C for this book features Evil Ernie in a Amazing Spider-Man #300 homage pose with the Chaos Comics Logo behind him. While this book doesn’t have any sales above its cover price, I believe this book has great potential for long term growth.
