Hot Comic Watch: Meet the Skrulls #1

We first spoke about Marvel’s Meet the Skrulls #1 when it was released back in March of last year when the one in fifty variant cover was selling for $70 to $120. While the one in fifty variant cover is currently selling for around $80 but its the regular cover that has started to attract attention online.

Meet the Skrulls #1 features the first appearance of the Warrens – Alice, Madison, Carl, Ivy, Gloria and Billy. This book has started to see attention now that Marvel have announced their titles for March 2020 – which features the new title “Road to Empyre Kree Skrull War #1”

This Road to Empyre book is going to bring the Warren family into the forefront of the Marvel comic universe. Four of the Warren children can be seen front and center on the Phil Noto cover. From the titles Diamond solicitation “The build-up to Marvel’s massive event series of the spring begins here-but in actuality, it began a millennia ago, with a challenge on the moon! In the wake of INCOMING, everything has changed for the Kree and the Skrulls. And out in the cold on Earth, the Warner family (MEET THE SKRULLS) need to work out what has happened and what it means for the future of their family and their race! And that means educating their kids on just how the Kree and the Skrulls first went to war!”.

This description of the title is a great indication that the Warrens are the new big characters in the Marvel Universe. Who knows where this new “massive event” is going to go? Now is a great time to be looking for copies of Meet the Skrulls #1 – which had two regular covers and several ratio variants. One cover that is really heating up online is the second print variant for Meet the Skrulls #1 which has been selling for $15 to $18. The regular covers have been selling for around double its original cover price.
