This week we saw the release of two new 2099 titles, 2099 Alpha #1 and 2099 Fantastic Four #1 – with new titles being released in the coming weeks. These titles seem to be getting some attention – mainly the ratio variant covers – one example of this is the upcoming Conan 2099 #1 1:25 variant cover that has been selling for $40 plus and comes outs this week (November 27, 2019). (Although it can still be purchased from TFAW for just under $20!)

One back-issue that has been seeing a lot of interest and seems to be trending up online over the past few days is the 2015 comic book, Secret Wars 2099 #1. This book didn’t have a lot of reader buzz when it was released and subsequently it can be found in many back-issue and dollar bin boxes. The reason this book has been seeing some interest recently is because it features a few first appearances of new 2099 characters including, A new Black Widow – Tania, a new Hawkeye, a new Iron Man – Sonny Frisco, a new Captain America – Roberta, as well as an all new Hercules character.

While the regular cover hasn’t been seeing that much action online – the 1 in 25 variant cover has a few more than a handful of sales over the last few days. While this book was selling for $7 to $10 – there are one or two sales around $45. The lowest buy it now price for this book on ebay is currently a $38 listing. This variant cover features artwork by Ron Lim and features the new Hawkeye, Black Widow, Captain America and Iron Man on cover. If these characters are brought into the new 2099 titles this book will continue to trend up.
