Hello and welcome to the week in review on Comicbookspeculation.com – home of the original week in review – where we go over all of the hot books being released to comic book stores this week. These books are being released on November 20, 2019 and this week is very focused on variant covers.

That book that everyone seems to be anticipating this week is the one per store variant cover for Maria Llovet’s new series, Heartbeat #1. Heartbeat is a mini-series published by Boom Studios, Maria Llovet is best known for her artwork on the Brian Azzarello written Faitheless, also published by Boom Studios. Heartbeat follows Eva, a high school student who finds out one of her classmates drinks blood.
While the regular cover hasn’t been selling above its cover price, the one per store variant has been selling for between $60 and $70.

GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) is a 2017 Netflix series that is currently on its third season. IDW published the first GLOW comic book series in March of 2019 – this week they are publishing the first issue of the second mini-series, Glow Vs the Babyface. This book has a 1 in 10 ratio variant cover by Christine Nodet and it has multiple sales for $20 to $30.

Another variant that comes out this week that I think is worth picking up for cover art alone is the Inhyuk Lee 1 in 50 ratio variant cover for Absolute Carnage #5. While this book doesn’t have any noteworthy sales, the artwork for this cover is fantastic featuring Carnage, Venom and Spider-Man. There is also two Local Comic Shop Day Variant cover for this issue being released this weekend.
