Hollywood Daze: Sin City Television Series
.,
Thanks Jacob D for sending this over my way.

News broke out today from the Hollywood Reporter that Frank Miller’s Sin City series was being developed as a television series by Legendary TV. There is also talks of an animated prequel series in the world of Sin City.
.
Sin City is a crime noir comic book created by Frank Miller in the early days of creator owned comic books. Sin City was published through Dark Horse Comics and was developed into the 2005 film Sin City directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriquez with special guest director Quentin Tarantino. There wasn’t any information on if the television series will be a new story all together within the world of Sin City or if it will be an all new adaptation of the comic books. The Hollywood Reporter and numerous other outlets are reporting that Robert Rodriquez is being courted to work on the television series but his participation has not yet been confirmed.
.
The first Sin City comic book was published in Dark Horse Presents Fifth Anniversary Special from 1991. This is an oversized issue with 116 pages of comics. This story was continued in Dark Horse Presents #51 to Dark Horse Presents #62 – later known as the “Sin City: The Hard Goodbye” story-arch. The first issue outside of the Dark Horse Presents compilation comic was in the 1993 six part series, Sin City: A Dame to Kill for.

There hasn’t been a lot of movement in the world of Sin City comics in the past years and since the release of the first Sin City film and its sequel in 2014 – the Sin City books have cooled off quite a bit. Now a great time to find under-priced copies of these Sin City key books.
.
What do you think? Is this new project going to blow up Sin City comics or is it going to be like the second Sin City film and be a box office failure? Let me know in the comments or on social media!
