Sleepy Jawn from the Comicbookwars podcast sent me this great article on the recent Bloodshot trailer. He loves Valiant comics and mainly the Bloodshot character.  Without further ado, here are the new characters Jawn saw in the Bloodshot trailer!

This morning we got our first look at the long awaited and anticipated Bloodshot movie from Sony Pictures Entertainment & Paramount Pictures (You can watch it at the bottom of this article). This has been much hyped by former CEO OF VEI and Valiant fanboy and producer for the movie, Dinesh Shamdasani . He has stated that these ancillary characters should not be highly invested in and instead focus on Rai #0 and Eternal Warrior #4.

The first recognizable character from the trailer is Ax (Toby Kebbell) who may look like he’s wearing the Iron Spider gear that we saw at the very end of Avengers: Infinity and later Endgame. He was however created by Jim Shooter and David Lapham before the Iron Spider costume in the Marvel comics. He first appeared in the original Harbinger series released in 1992 from the original Valiant Comics group – making his first appearance Harbinger (Volume 1) #3.

The other scenes shown don’t have as recognizable characters as Ax, but we do know the group called Chainsaw will also be in the movie. Could this be the group of men shooting at Diesel / Bloodshot? I can’t say myself. In the comics Chainsaw were enemies of Bloodshot, but in the movie they appear to help him, at least at first. Chainsaw first appeared in Bloodshot Vol. 2 #2 & #3 which was under new ownership at the time of Acclaim when they were giving comics a shot.

Also recognizable in the trailer is funnyman Lamorne Morris who is playing a sidekick Wilfred Wigans who has not appeared in the comics at any point.
