This week Michel Fiffe is continuing his self-published Copra series with Image Comics with an all-new number series. This book features an all-new adventure in Michel Fiffe’s Copra universe, and based on how popular and well received Fiffe’s self published issues of Copra have been, the new Copra #1 is this weeks no-brainer pick-up.

This week also sees the release of Charlie Adlard’s new comic series, Vampire State Building #1, published by Image Comics. This book was originally published last year in graphic novel form in France. This week sees the first publication of this book in English. The Image Comics version has five covers including a 1 in 10 glow in the dark cover. While you can still find some of the covers for cover price online, there are sales ranging from $7 to $10 each for the four regular covers. I don’t think prices will stay that high above cover price but this book is certainly getting some attention. There are also several low print store variant covers as well as a NYCC variant for this title.

Speaking of variant covers – The 1 in 25 variant cover for Absolute Carnage Immortal Hulk #1 is on fire this week. This cover features artwork by Dale Keown and is part of the “Codex” variant line. This book has been selling for $50 to $80 online. If you can find a copy – this is a book worth picking up!
