Magazine Speculation Spotlight on Cinefantastique Magazine

Space
Cinefantastique was a full colour pop-culture magazine reviewing and critiquing various films and television series. Cinefanstique started publication in 1970 by series editor and founder Frederic S. Clarke. This magazine would publish full colour images and very long retrospectives of various classic films. Clarke edited the magazine up until his death in 2000. His death resulted in the magazine being purchased by Mindfire Entertainment who renamed it CFQ: Cinefantastique. The last issue of Cinefantastique was published in 2006. While there have been attempts to relaunch the brand online, all attempts have been fruitless.

Many of the early issues are very hard to find – and if you can find issues for cheap its not a bad idea to pick them up as many of the issues of Cinefantastique sell for $10 to $15 but can sell for a lot more in high grade condition. Of all of the issues, here are a few issues that stand out from the crowd.
