Welcome to the Week in Review – where we look at the books being released every week and highlight which ones have potential to heat up online.

     This is it! The big week! The release of the 300th issue of Spawn! There are 18 regular covers including ratio variants. The Cover A seems to be selling for just above its cover price online and the 1 in 50 Todd Mcfaralne virgin cover seems to be selling for around $80. Spawn #300 is a monumental issue (as is the next issue Spawn #301) and the higher end ratio variant have great potential for long term growth.

   Two ratio variants that seem to be selling well in presale are the 1 in 50 and 1 in 100 ratio variants for Web of Black Widow #1. The 1 in 50 is by Lee Garbett and the 1 in 100 cover is by Joe Chiodo – both of these covers are selling above ratio.

     The New Legion of Super-Heroes two part mini-series, Legion of Super-Heroes Millennium #1 is starting to get a lot of buzz around it. This book seems to be selling just above its $3.99 cover price. There are two covers for this book and first prints of this book have sold out at the retailer distribution level.

House of X continues to sell out at the distribution level before release – this weeks issue is House of X #4 and the connecting cover is probably the cover you want to be picking up.

Another book that comes out this week that has a lot of buzz around it is the Once and Future #1 third printing. The Second print released last week seems to be selling for $30 and this new third printing released this week is currently selling for $13. As Boom Studios continues to play the speculative comic game by what appears to be intentionally shorting print runs – this week sees the release of the first print of Something is Killing the Children #1, already on its fifth printing.
