There has not been a lot of speculation related news coming out of SDCC this year. However, here are a few things that were announced.

– Syfy’s Krypton TV series will feature Brainiac, Adam Strange, Hawkwoman, Doomsday and a few other unnamed DC characters.
– Archie comics is casting bisexual character Toni Tapaz. First appearance Jughead Double Digest #176, 2012.
– Grant Morrison and Darrick Robertson’s Happy! is still be produced by SYFY and the animated rabbit character, has been recast and will be voiced by Patton Oswald.
– The Flash film will be called Flashpoint.

With the new Flash film being titled Flash: Flashpoint there are a few things to keep in mind. Flashpoint was originally a three part mini-series from DC Comics that took place in the DC Elseworlds Universe and was published in 1999. This is the first appearance of Flash’s Flashpoint.

Flashpoint reappeared in the DC Universe in a story that began in the Flash series written by Geoff Johns and expanded into a multiple title cross-over series published in 2011. The 2011 Flashpoint #1 ( Flashpoint #1 Volume 2) has been seeing a lot of interest online while the original 1999 series is currently very undervalued. Both are books to be looking for. While the Fan Expo Flashpoint #1 has been selling for $60+, the SDCC variant has been selling for $25 to $30. The regular first print cover has also been selling well – hitting $20+.

I mentioned this on facebook yesterday and 14 months ago on this website. The SDCC Flashpoint #1 variant is still available for purchase for $10 on the Graphitti Designs Website.
