The one take away from the Wolverine 3: Logan film you should be thinking about is Who is X-24. X-24 is a clone of Wolverine (as as pointed out by comicbook.com) this is not the first clone of wolverine to appear in the marvel universe.

In the second Wolverine series in 1991, issue 37, Leader of the Reevers, Donald Pierce created a clone of Wolverine named Albert. The leader of the Reevers in the Logan film is named Pierce and has little involvement in the creation of the X-24 but does have involvement. X24 is an identical clone of Wolverine.

If there is anything to take away from Logan its this book, which will have a very limited shelf life, the first appearance of Albert – Clone of Wolverine – Wolverine Vol. 2 #37
