Week in Review: June 17 , 2020

.

Hello and welcome to the week in review on Comicbookspeculation.com – home of the original week in review – where we go over all of the hot books being released to comic book stores. Here are the books that I think are noteworthy that come out this week.

This week sees the release of an all new creator owned series from Boom Studios – Wynd. Wynd is written by former detective comics writer James Tynion IV and features artwork by Michael Dialynas. While the regular covers have not been selling above cover – this book has a one in twenty-five Peach Momoko cover that has been selling very well on the secondary market. In recent months almost anything Peach Momoko touches gets hot so I wouldn’t expect anything less from this ratio variant cover. Wynd #1 also has a one per store thank you variant (a sketch cover of the Dan Mora Cover B) that has been selling for $20 to $25 while the Momoko ratio cover has been selling for around $50.

One other book worth mentioning this week is The Crow Lethe #2. Like with the previous issue this books cover A features artwork by Peach Momoko. While this book hasn’t had any sales above its cover price, it is my belief that the cover A’s for all three issues of this series are great books to be holding on to.
